Who pays and supports us?

Northern Ireland ClownDoctors is a project with its own funding, team and management within Arts Care NI Ltd., and we are responsible to Arts Care’s Board. The team are all experienced professional performing artists. We keep our costs as low as possible, so that we can use our funding for hospital visits. More than 85% of our income is used as payment for the team, with transport and costumes taking another 10%.

We receive core funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, from Health and Social Care bodies, and from Belfast City Council.

BBC Children in Need support us with transport, props and costumes costs. The Co-operative Foundation support our fortnightly visits to BenBradagh Day centre.

The Hedley Foundation supports this website.

The Enkalon Foundation has supported our project since its pilot period.

TO SUSTAIN OUR CURRENT PROGRAMME OF VISITS, WE NEED TO RAISE AN ADDITIONAL £30,000 A YEAR. TO EXPAND TO OTHER ACUTE HOSPITALS, WE NEED TO RAISE MORE.
