Weekly online meetings - cooking, discussing and making up new recipes which lead us into reminiscing about and telling each other food related stories. The recipes and stories were collected and collated into a recipe book as our finished piece. I have always seen cooking and eating as a social occasion. I love discovering new recipes and cooking for others in a kitchen full of friends, full of laughter and chat. In 2020 and 2021 the thing I missed most was having people over for a meal and a natter, so when Arts Care asked me to work with Sam Cunningham and his group from Causeway, Coast and Glens area, I asked if he thought the people he had in mind would enjoy weekly sessions sharing recipes, having a chat and having a laugh. He asked them, they agreed and we began. One hour a week for 8 weeks, through the wonders of the internet I was kindly invited into the homes of some wonderful people and I haven’t had so much fun in a long time! Sam, George Mary B, Mari, Edna, Maureen, Bernie, Margaret, Mary P, William, Pauline, Anne, Miread Bill, Ralph, Renu,Taika and Chris Thank you for so much fun each week. Without you all, this would never have happened.
