Title of Work: Living the Dream

Recently most of us have not been “Living The Dream” in our normal everyday lives, especially those living in isolation or with disabilities or other inhibitors to enjoyment of life at its fullest. My project was designed to engage the participants in a series of creative activities that would fully engage them and fill their hands, minds and souls with new and exciting art experiences and reopen their world to the endless possibilities that exist for them once they have become comfortable with the new environment that we have evolved into post Pandemic/lockdown. The timing of the project was early on when most of us had not been face to face with anyone outside our closest family members. After a cautious period of finding our way around the new normality ( with masks and distancing) the naturally healing qualities of creativity opened the flood gates of emotions and the sharing of personal journeys, suffering, joys and experiences flowed with the art making. The results were not just of individual beautiful experimental finished pieces, but a reconnection with what is one of our most vital needs as human beings, Friendship and a sense of belonging. At last we may all return to, Living Well – A Tale To Tell.
