Art Form: Visual Art – Wet Felting and Needle Felting
This project involved a group of ladies from rural Fermanagh, creating beautiful tactile scenes depicting their area and local surroundings. The mediums and techniques used were two fold...The first half of the project they created their background landscapes using a wet felt technique, building up layers of Marino wools and binding together with olive oil soap.
The pieces were then worked on using a needle felt technique…punching and forming detail with fine needles to finish off and create their lovely pieces of work.
