Newtownabbey Friendship Group an Age NI group met in St Brigid’s Hall Glengormley on Thursday afternoons for 8 sessions. Their project was a mixed media project with 4 singing workshops facilitated by Karen Diamond and 4 art projects facilitated by Beth McComish.
The group decided to create a song book of their favourite songs and the songs which were their Diamond memories. With Beth they created album covers of their own memories and created their own felt pieces. They agreed they would like to come to the main showcase event to sing some of the songs and to see their album covers being displayed.
Thanks to our amazing participants. You have danced, sang your heart out and created the most beautiful artwork. We are so proud to have such amazing diamonds take part in the Here & Now Festival this year. Keep on singing and shinning bright!
