I am the Divisional Nurse for Children’s Community Services and have been undertaking this role for approx. 4 years. During the pandemic like all services, we were tested to the optimum. My colleagues across the Directorate were pivotal in responding to the safety/needs of children and their families and caring for/supporting those children who are Looked After by the Trust. The last year has allowed my nursing colleagues to shine – professionally taking on new challenges, learning new skills, helping across the organisation while dealing with their own personal and individual priorities.

I submitted my photographs for the hidden talents exhibition to encourage others to consider making use of the Here4U activities. We all have hidden talents but need to make time to explore these outside of work even during a pandemic. Photography last year helped me look at the world differently while developing new talents and meeting new people.

Don’t be so busy looking up at the big things that you miss the marvellous wee things right under your nose!
